Some of you may notice that I've not
only got the Super 12 draw up for this season, but I've also been a busy little bee this evening sprucing up the place :) Natch I had to stay with the colours of my beloved Reds, but it's a whole lot brighter and nicer for 2005!
I've just been catching up on some pre-season Super 12 news. The Tahs forwards have gotten themselves into a bit of strife already; the big boys were racing the girls... er backs... on Sydney Harbour last Wednesday when the whopping big mast of the boat decided to break and fall. Luckily there were no injuries, and in true forward style apparently Phil Waugh and Rocky Elsom were oblivious to the drama unfolding around them. Read more about the
sailing adventures of the Waratahs over here at Foxsports.A story over on the QRU site almost brings tears of joy to my eyes..
Ben Tune is set to make his comeback - finally!! Yeeeha! The plan is to run him in the centres for the Reds' trial game against the Brumbies on Jan 29. I think I might have to head to that game :)
The
Crusaders have appointed Richie McCaw to lead them for this Super 12 season in place of Reuben Thorne. No doubt with the Canterbury cast of thousands behind him those Jade stadium horses will be doing more than a few laps around the paddock once again this year.
I doubt any of us would not be smiling to hear the news that
Jonah Lomu is planning to make his comeback to rugby as well. Just 6 months ago he underwent a kidney transplant, and is reported to want to get back into the game. That's some effort and a half! Congratz!
Cheers for now!
