er...

Round 10 tipping winner was rowan :) Congratz!

Happy Birthday Sean Hardman for today - hope it proves to be a good one for you in your Red jersey tonight :)

Elton Flatley - Happy Birthday for tomorrow :)

Sheesh what a week! I don't know about all of you but my inbox has copped a total flogging from the new sober virus. People, do NOT open emails that you think are suss. Most definitely do not open zip files or attachments unless you know who the sender is. If in doubt, drop the sender an email asking them if he/she did infact send you an email with an attachment. Tell the person you are just checking... I swear it's a bit like having to touch the stove just to make sure it will burn you, but I wonder some times just how many times people need to be burnt before they learn.

I have also spent some time in the last couple of days chasing down some stinking spammer who apparently thinks it is okay to send my 10 year old daughter adults only material. It isn't okay and I am on the trail....

Cranky sounding aren't I? I just tried to get into the toptipper site as well - it's having server issues apparently.

ARGgggggggggggggggggggggghhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh

Right! That feels better :) Time to have some fun and take a look at Super 12 rugby round 11 and my sad tipping attempts.

Tonight:

Blues vs Hurricanes: Live on Foxsports at 5.30pm. Did you know the Hurricanes haven't beaten the Blues in Super 12 rugby? Ali Williams is back from suspension, and I think this is going to be a tough old game, but in Auckland I think the Blues will pull this game off, but only by a point.

Waratahs vs Reds: Live on Foxsports at 7.30pm. How happy am I that I will be at a 21st party this evening instead of watching this game? I love you Ash but you're pushing it :) The Tahs haven't beaten the Reds in Super 12 rugby... but I think that tonight will be the night. In Sydney, in form, on top of the ladder. Got to tip the Tahs to take this by 5 (Go Reds!)

Tomorrow:
Highlanders vs Crusaders:
Live on Foxsports 5.30pm. I'm looking forward to seeing this game - I do like local derbies :) The Waratahs proved last weekend that the Highlanders can come undone even at home in the House of Pain. I suspect they'll still be a bit rocked this week, and the Crusaders will have studied last week's game very closely and will capitalise by swinging the ball wide and dominating at the ruck. I'm tipping the Crusaders to win by 6

Brumbies vs Chiefs: Live on Foxsports 7.30pm. Well the Brumbies only have pride left to play for this Super 12, and the Chiefs have injuries after their narrow win over the Stormers in South Africa last weekend, so I'm going to tip the Brumbies by 3.

Sharks vs Bulls: Live on Foxsports 11.00pm. With the way the Bulls have been playing I am going to have to tip them. It doesn't really matter that they're not on their home ground, I think they're going to enjoy the challenge of smashing the Sharks on 'their' home turf. I don't think the Sharks need to be reminded of the walloping they copped last week. I'm tipping the Bulls by 4

Sunday
Stormers vs Cats:
Live on Foxsports 1.00am. You'd better get yourselves set for this long innings of games on Saturday - pizza, beer, champers. Be organised :) I don't know that this game will be too exciting, I think the Stormers will win comfortably at home so I'm tipping them by 6

***************

So here we are staring down the barrel of the end of Super 12 rugby, and with two rounds still to play there's 8 teams that are still in contention: Waratahs, Crusaders, Hurricanes, Highlanders, Blues, Bulls, Brumbies, and the Chiefs!

Makes for an interesting last two rounds huh?

Enjoy your weekend of rugby whether you're on the paddock, in the stands, or in front of the telly.

Cheers!

Either Queensland needs to stop having public holidays so that we have long weekends, or I need to stop indulging myself!

What a Super 12 weekend. My tipping was pretty crook - 50%. On Friday night the Crusaders annihilated the Sharks 77-34 in Christchurch running in 11 tries. Show offs! Also on Friday night, the Reds were lucky to snake a win 21-15 over the Cats in Brisbane. I must say I was very pleased to see Wendell go over for a try!

The Bulls vs Blues game was a see-sawing affair, with the Bulls finally triumphant 38-24 to give the Bulls their fourth win in a row!

The Waratahs over in Dunedin did the seemingly improbable by whipping the Highlanders 41-20 at the House of Pain to book themselves a semi-final berth. I really did not rate the Tahs to win in Dunedin, I just didn't think they had the ticker to emerge the winners - shows what I know huh? A good win for Ewen McKenzie's boys!

The Canes were clinical and smart in their victory over the Brumbies 49-37. I'd tipped the Hurricanes, but it sure felt very odd barracking for them to beat the Brumbies! Umaga's boys didn't need any help from me though, they played a great second half to down the reigning title holders. I hope the Brumbies have a good long look at that Super 12 trophy while they still can.

The Chiefs held out the Stormers to post a narrow 37-34 win over the SA side in a game that was quite evenly matched. The Chiefs really have been patchy this season.

So that was it... a really mixed bag of games and results for Round 10. The Tahs remain on top of the ladder, just by one point. The Crusaders, Hurricanes and Highlanders all following closely.
