Round 12 Super 14 Rugby tips 2009

It's certainly getting down to the business end of the Super 14 season for 2009. The Canes remain on the top of the ladder with 34 points, followed by the Bulls on 33, the Chiefs of 32, and the Sharks on 31. The Blues are in 5th spot, and it's not until 6th and 7th that we find the Force and the Tahs sitting on 28 points. uh oh...

So, who's going to grab points this week?

Friday May 1
Hurricanes vs Blues at Westpac Stadium - 5:35PM
Since the Canes are on top of the ladder I'm going to tip them, by 3. I think this game could be tight.

Lions vs Crusaders at Coca-Cola Park Stadium - 11:00PM
I'm going to have to tip the Crusaders, even though they're playing away. The Christchurch boys by 4.

Saturday May 2
Cheetahs vs Waratahs at Vodacom Park - 1:05AM
I hope the Tahs are going to win this one. The Cheetahs have knocked off a few of the 'big' names though this season, and while my heart wants to tip the Tahs, I'm going to tip the Cheetahs. By 1

Reds vs Brumbies at Suncorp Stadium - 7:40PM
Oh my God! I love the Brumbies, I've been INFURIATED with the Reds this season. So... who to pick? I'm going to tip the Reds (slap myself silly). By 1

Sharks vs Highlanders at ABSA Stadium - 11:00PM
I want the Highlanders to have a win this week, but I can't see it happening somehow. Not in South Africa. Not against the Sharks. Sharks by 5

Sunday
Bulls vs Force at Loftus Versfeld - 1:05AM
I think the away game will be too big of an ask for the Force, and I think the Bulls should win this game comfortably by 4 points or more.

Stormers vs Chiefs at Newlands - 3:10AM
This is a tricky one. The Stormers are at home, but they're not having a fab season. The Chiefs are going great guns, but they're away. I think the Stormers might just salvage this game so I'm going to tip them... by 2
